They celebrate (or shriek depending on who they’re in the conversation with) when China beats us in some academic or scientific pissing contest, yet support importing millions of people from places where the average iq is 80. If you had such a commitment to Scientific and Academic excellence, as you say, wouldn’t you want to seek out the truth?
