@BrianRoemmele If AI is a human tool, meant to be human, or more than human, trained by humans, why wouldn’t it lie? We teach our kids not to lie, but they inevitably do. How is this not going to happen? I’m woefully ignorant, so I’m asking an honest question, not being contradicting.

If cognition becomes abundant, then computation may not be scarce, models may not be scarce, reasoning may not be scarce.
What may become scarce is reliable coordination of cognition inside real systems.
This requires trust. The bottleneck appears to be operational trustworthiness.

@BrianRoemmele i get what you're saying, but this is fundamentally at odds with the nature of predictive models. predictions are not truths. they are anticipatory and relational. seems like we should get people to understand this better vs rely on ai for truth.
