The early comparison comes as Meta positions Muse as something more than a chat interface. In its launch announcement, Meta calls Muse a personal AI agent that can work through a dedicated “Muse Secure VM,” use a browser and apps, and return for approval before actions such as sending an email or making a purchase.

Downloads are a narrow measure of the launch

Meta says Muse can take on tasks such as planning, browser work and form filling, and can keep working after a person closes the app. The company also says users decide how much access it receives. Those are product claims from Meta, not independent performance tests.

Sensor Tower’s figures are likewise estimates from a third party. They describe installs during the first six days, which makes them useful for comparing initial distribution but does not show retention, completed tasks, revenue or whether people continue using Muse after trying it.
