I haven’t had time to dive deeply into all the WWDC changes yet but I’m seeing positive feedback 9 times for every 10 posts. Superficially looks great. Polish on iOS and macOS looks great. Siri looks great. CoreAI and related looks great. Is Apple software so back?

@mitchellh it’s really really good, and they even leaned into agentic dev, multiple sessions just about agentic coding which they see the value in, they didn’t fight it! like most do! their offline documentation is really handy now, agents can find all the new primitives and apis locally!

@mitchellh The changes they made to Screen Time seem great. Wish I had them when my kids were young. Doing stuff like “more time on weekends” and “instant pause” and “block these apps during school hours” would have been clutch.

@markgurman Mark it’s another demo. Like 2024. And it’s delayed. And it’s in English only. And it’s so undercooked it only works on an iPhone 17 for now. And won’t be available in China or the EU… and.. and… this is another pushback.

If the operating system is just now doing what competitors did years ago then nobody has an actual reason to upgrade their physical phone tomorrow.

@markgurman Yada Yada Yada Mark. We all want Apple so badly to be the Apple of the past. It’s not. Apple has become what Steve Jobs himself warned about when he famously used HP as an example of a company that lost creative passion, and became zombified. We’ll see what Ternus does..

@IwerksUb @markgurman What do you want? Do you even know? Apple Silicon has blown away all rivals. Their hardware is superb. This is a solid AI release, even though it turns out the public don't really want it, or care.
