@amasad Replit is still the best coding app in my opinion, but I had to migrate to Claude Code some time ago because Replit doesn’t support BYOK or using subscriptions from providers like Kimi. I’d love to come back if that changes.

An evolution of how @Replit mobile app has evolved over the years... Some quick history: The first version of the mobile app came out October 2022. Back then, Replit was still a very developer focused tool. Our mobile app was one of the first to make real developer workflows extremely easy to do on a mobile device. Even today, technical folks are surprised at the fact that you can take shell actions right from your mobile device. So why the redesign? Well, how often do you read your code when you develop now? 😀 Similarly, we noticed an opportunity to significantly simplify the experience so users can focus on what matters: chatting with the agent, creating tasks, and previewing their app - all while still being able to do nearly all the complex workflows you can do from the web experience. (Don't worry, you can still access all your tools 😉)

@WalterHeard2024 @amasad We're working on publishing to google play! Uploading to apple app store already works today, but you'll want to start from our web experience at http://replit.com.

@amasad can't wait to try it out. i was just telling my 4 year old about how I had learned Python on my phone (with Replit) while he slept in my arms during paternity leave.

@amasad If things keep going this way, I’m starting to wonder if Replit should develop their own app store. Cloud-based, no download, app as the os layer.
