Vaibhav (VB) Srivastav replied on X recommending that users keep effort levels constant per thread, especially longer ones, and spin up a subagent or new thread when a different setting is needed. Yang replied that subagents sound like a good idea.
If I switch back and forth between medium and high effort in the same AI thread is that going to mess things up?

Vaibhav (VB) Srivastav@reach_vb@petergyang I recommend keeping efforts constant per thread (specially for long threads) and have them either spin up a subagent or a new thread with the model/ reasoning effort type you want
