I don't think that it is harder than putting 10K nodes of Nvidia B300 in space. But who knows, they might manage to make it work. A lot of people also thought that reusable rockets would not be profitable back in the day.

But what I am saying is that they don't need to compete with regular datacenters for the project to make sense. Even if it is more expensive and the performance is worse, there are benefits to having an AI model running in space, and there will be people willing to pay for that.

If you're just doing smaller inference it's incredibly easy in many places.

It's much easier than trying to get a half dozen government agencies and international groups to just sign off on that much orbital capacity.

The idea that low earth orbit is just some kind of wild frontier isn't the reality.

@levelsio Its not hard to connect to the grit, they just don't let you do it in most places. Taking or giving.

Its now easier to don't get a ac converter and just keep the dc add a battery and have solar panels plus battery outside of the grit.

Because then there is no regulation yet.
