I have been saying this for years now -- mathematics is an ideal match for AI: noiseless, verifiable, and entirely in software.
Mathematics will fall first. Then, a torrent of results will impact everything in theoretical science.

@mmbronstein Totally agree, my point is that mathematicians will be empowered, not replaced, at least in the short term. It is still unclear whether an AI can replace a math researcher, let alone with a token budget equal to a university salary.
