Qwen3.8-27B Ranks Ninth on Code Arena
Alibaba's 27B open model reaches ninth on Code Arena WebDev, the only one its size in the top 10.
Alibaba's official Qwen account stated that Qwen3.8-27B reached ninth place overall on Code Arena. It is the only model in its size class inside the top 10. Creator Kim Isenberg posted that the 27B open model now competes near the frontier in Arena's WebDev benchmark and can run locally. He added that local models have become strong enough to challenge much larger systems. The posts treat the ranking as confirmed by the arena leaderboard.
