Who said anything about productivity? Why do you think artificial life can’t experience emotion? Would sentient beings deserve respect if they couldn’t feel emotion? Do humans have a soul? Completely agree. …For now! Serious question: do you think there is something unique about biological tissue, and biological neurons that gives us the capacity to love? If a human mind and body could be measured down to the atom, and simulated perfectly on a computer, would it cease to express love? If so, what for you is the essential difference?
