Just a friendly reminder that this fool kneecapped European AI sovereignty by regulating it before they had an AI industry and now they're getting cut off from their allies as American AI goes increasingly nationalistic.

Best thing the EU did was boot him and start walking back this insidious law, because now Europe has to race to catch up so they can actually use AI at all.

The answer, my European friends, is to go back to your roots, the place that made you the cradle of modern civilization:

Give power to builders and innovators, and true ground up democracy, and less power to career rule makers who understand exactly zero about what they are regulating.

Absolutely! Safe harbor for Open Source model serving would be a great start to get capital into inference build outs.

The vast majority of contributors to projects like llama.cpp are European and they need to figure out why that hasn’t converted to established businesses (spoiler: it’s the regulations killing every business that dares to start)
