Hyperliquid Launches Permissionless Prediction Markets

Hyperliquid has activated permissionless prediction markets on mainnet via HIP-4. Any wallet with 500,000 HYPE tokens can now create and run its own outcome markets. Quartz reported the launch directly, and Bankless confirmed that permissionless markets are live. Memeburn described the change as a way for Hyperliquid to act as backend infrastructure for builders creating event markets rather than simply competing with Polymarket.
