LSEG agrees to acquire credit-data firm Octus for $3.535 billion in cash
LSEG plans to pair Octus’s private-credit intelligence with its fixed-income data if the acquisition closes.
TLDR
London Stock Exchange Group has agreed to pay $3.535 billion in cash for Octus, whose private-credit data would complement LSEG’s liquid-credit products. The sellers include Permira-advised funds and Octus management. LSEG expects the deal to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval. If it closes, founder Kent Collier would continue running Octus within LSEG’s Data & Analytics division.
