Redwood inference chip reportedly designed by AI in under two weeks

VentureBeat reports that Architect Labs' AI system designed Redwood, an inference chip, in under two weeks. The outlet highlights a timing mismatch: AI models shift in months, while chips are locked in years earlier. Researchers say AI can shorten that cycle to weeks by running the entire design flow. Redwood runs on an FPGA, but its edge over Nvidia remains a silicon projection.
