Finland Runs Europe's Largest Civil Defence Exercise Since WWII

Finland initiated an extensive civil defence drill focused on scenarios involving cyberattacks and missile threats. The exercise seeks to strengthen national preparedness in light of ongoing concerns about Russia. Planners incorporated observations from Ukraine's rapid shelter mobilization efforts during its own conflict. This approach allows Finland to refine its procedures for quick public protection. Reports indicate the drill represents the largest civil defence exercise in Europe since World War II concluded. The activity underscores efforts to simulate real threats and practice coordinated responses across the country.
