Former Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger says he has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia.

Sanger, who coined the word "Wikipedia" was indefinitely blocked from editing for simply making public calls for those whose viewpoints have typically been underrepresented, American conservatives, to be more involved. That was enough for banning him from the platform, which is shamelessly pushing its far-left political agenda.

Even their own page on Sanger can’t agree whether or not he was a co-founder.

I mean, if they can’t even establish their own history, how can they be relied upon to tell anyone else’s?

I gave up editing Wikipedia when people would just sit on an account and roll back my changes over and over and over, even though they were legitimate, citing whatever they wanted to. It was a game of who cares the most about controlling the article.

Decided from that time forth that Wikipedia isn't worth anybody's time, and I will not give it any impressions anymore. I also will ask AI to block Wikipedia as a source when I prompt for research.

@lsanger I wonder if this is a signal that the project is beyond saving and just worth boycotting and forgetting about.

@lsanger I once tried contributing to an article about medieval Round Towers citing a history book I was holding in my hands from the 1800s. Some neck beard power user would immediately undo my edits and tried to ban me, wiki took his side. Never trusted that site again
