a16z says it led Highstock’s $30 million Series A. Highstock’s announcement names Greylock, Abstract, Daybreak and angel investors as participants and outlines plans to expand its team and branch out from beauty into apparel. According to a16z, the marketplace has more than $1 billion in inventory listed and works with more than 100 major brands. The investor also credits Highstock with keeping more than 10 million pounds of product out of landfills.
