@pitdesi There are also natural “daylighting” systems that collect light and distribute it via fiber optic cables. It’s natural, full-spectrum light so it’s much healthier than LED.

@pitdesi i think its just depressing that we've gotten to a state where its needed. then stuff like this catalyzes going further in that direction. Building low cost homes with no external light, etc.

No one denies natural light wouldn't be much nicer, but there are many places that don't have proper access to it so solutions of course needed

@pitdesi I’ve seen a lot of Temu version of these IRL, unfortunately they’re kinda crappy and don’t emit the full spectrum light that comes w sunlight. I love the idea but I feel like it’s not quite there yet (maybe w the Philips one tho!). It’s a great concept

I asked Red Development about something like this ~8yrs ago in a design meeting and they told me that no such thing existed.
I then asked about a room with unfiltered exterior glass and everyone laughed.
Why the heck would that be a good benchmark? They don’t recall based off of illness. They recall based off of faulty wiring and like ingesting led or batteries.
