Official monthly data is in today, and US solar power generation hit a new record high, up 21% compared to this time last year!
low confidence on being limited by gas going forward (just saw a guy claiming this), high confidence solar (and wind) would be more valuable if this was true.
$10/mmbtu is a good worst case. that would add roughly $50/MWh of fuel costs to natural gas to get maybe $70/MWh total fuel costs, which is enough to justify lots more solar everywhere
