DLSS 5 mod reportedly boosts RTX 4090 frame rates by over 60% in ultrawide Witcher 3 test

VideoCardz reports that FoveatedDLSS5 modifies a ReShade add-on to reduce DLSS 5 processing resolution toward the edges of ultrawide screens; unlike eye-tracked VR rendering, its full-resolution area stays centered. In the developer's Witcher 3 test at 7680 × 2160 on an RTX 4090, frame rates reportedly climbed from about 49 to over 80 FPS. The developer said the loss of edge detail was hard to notice during gameplay.
