@Teknium F yes Teknium. I feel like the best thing Hermes has going for itself as a project is how you guys at Nous are able to discern between the nice-to-haves that should and shouldn’t be prioritised. This is a great example. Profiles were already a thing. The feature itself was (1/2)

@Teknium There is a simple way to export profiles to use it later on other VPS or systems?

@Teknium Why does the app use commits to update itself rather than releases?

@Teknium this is huge for onboarding editing configs is cool, but building the whole agent profile in a dashboard just feels way more natural

@Teknium already there. Useful already. You’re not inventing the wheel when you do these nice-to-haves cause they’re just that, nice-to-haves, not must. But you’ve decided to spend time/effort in delivering wheels to where they were needed. I’d argue removing friction is as important.Thx

A proper GUI for building full agent profiles, identity, model, skills, and MCP boundaries in one flow, removes one of the biggest practical frictions in running multiple specialized agents. Instead of managing scattered configs and hoping the orchestration holds together, you can now treat each profile as a distinct, versionable workspace with clear capabilities. This is the kind of tooling that lets people move from impressive single-agent demos to actually maintaining a small team of reliable, scoped agents that run daily without constant manual tuning.

@Teknium Love what you folks are doing.. but these videos are pretty cringe and seem unnecessary… don’t you think?

@Teknium I think the dashboard and desktop app need to be unified instead of having it separately

@petercat721 I think so, check the docs

@Teknium Profile builders get powerful when profiles become deployable contracts: provider/model pins, required skills + MCP auth scopes, env assumptions, and a doctor check before apply. Otherwise 'works on my profile' spreads fast. Any plan for import/export with preflight checks?

@vu_zip Because it will use releases after v1.0

While beta, we have a lot of fixes and things necessary to push rapidly
