Had to put my laptop away on a plane, but couldn’t release my changes due to using “npm stage” instead of “npm publish”
Asked Hermes Agent to clone repo and do it from my phone. Just merged.
This still hasn’t gotten old.
The agent cloned the repository and opened a pull request.

Many users praised the Hermes AI Agent for its ability to clone repos and open GitHub PRs from a phone on a plane because it seems impressively functional, while some objected to insecure publish practices and AI-generated sounding replies.

Side note: @davis7 got me Discord-pilled for OpenClaw/hermes and it’s so much better.
1 thread per “request” is so much easier to manage and maps to my brain much better

@theo @davis7 Telegram has the same feature for Hermes now
you can make one thread per topic, and create “pinned” consistent topics for recurring chats

@alexvinidiktov @theo @davis7 ask your hermes agent for guidance on setting up telegram 1:1 dm topic thread feature

@theo Publishing without staging should be disabled. You were just saying npm needs to fix the supply chain attacks and then they do and you just go back to doing things the insecure way!

@iamBarronRoth @theo @davis7 telegram update or? havent seen this

@gregface9er @davis7 Yes, makes it way easier to manage schedules, send follow ups and “stay on task”

@theo natural language to a merged PR from a phone at 30,000 feet. the npm publish friction was real and hermes just ate it

@theo @davis7 as opposed to a mega thread?

@theo @grok explain this for the peasants

@iamBarronRoth @theo @davis7 I’ve been using this for a week and I like it. Only thing is the telegram phone UI is a bit clunky with multiple threads, sometimes a start a new one when I mean to reply to an existing
Hahahaha let's go

@theo For people that don’t wanna do Hermes or Openclaw yet, you can still do this with Claude Code! Just work on the discord connector and a personal memory layer. Wouldn’t advise getting locked into one LLM, but this was one of my first builds.

@undrfined @InPassingOnly @theo @davis7 nah, this is different. this is a new feature, in 1:1 DM which turns it into a topic based message.

@iamBarronRoth @theo @davis7 But how?

@iamBarronRoth @theo @davis7 Kinda wish it had message-level subthreads, more like the discord model

@iamBarronRoth @InPassingOnly @theo @davis7 Oh right, forgot about that one. Last time I’ve tested it was unstable as hell, is it better now?

@theo @davis7 slack is really nice as well! same threading + they have streamed thinking blocks
@Teknium is this on hermes openclaw just got it today while i was mid switch lmao

@InPassingOnly @iamBarronRoth @theo @davis7 Nah, been there forever; you can create a group and convert it to a “forum” I think it’s called? and add your bot there
