Putting aside all the petty politics, drama and PR, we’ve reached the point at which AI can cause real-world damage—including and up to, being a national security threat.

The industry needs to regulate itself, which @DarioAmodei and @AnthropicAI seemed to have done an excellent job of objectively (and from the outside)

Give @howardlutnick and whoever else credit for a quick turnaround.

Translation: You realized you dun goofed when you caused our nation’s world leader in AI to have their top dog hot model to be offlined, rerouting their vital revenue which is ordinarily funneled into their internal development to keep their competive edge now to their (and our) Chinese competitors who grabbed a nice slice of their business and effectively handed those competitors a huge slice of the opportunity pie to nearly take the lead.

Speaking as a conservative and a Trump supporter, wise up! And get better aides and smarter staff to advise you whenever you have key critical decisions about AI like this because you demonstrated just how much staggeringly dangerous naïveté you have on this subject as you did with this.
