Speaking for myself, I'd be more than happy with a solution that puts the decision in the parents' hands, like eg movie ratings, displayed on all movies.

Can my kids sneak and watch 16-rated horror movie? Yes but age limit clearly marked on every service

... and as a parent I have tools like kids' profiles on streaming services where those movies are not displayed.

My big problem with social media networks is there's no indication as with movies that this not recommended under a certain age. Social media companies will never self-regulate, as children are their biggest growth path especially now that the market has been saturated

@GergelyOrosz Privacy is one concern, the other is that almost all the youth programs were canceled in 2008 to pay for the financial crisis. Music. Arts. Sports. Clubs. All the things that kids used to be able to do, gone. This takes away more without giving them something new to replace it

@GergelyOrosz I think the thing is though the intent is harmful and this is all a mask. The ultimate goal is control, which can be seen by all their recent actions.

@GergelyOrosz When Nigel Farage said that the OSA was bad, Labour said he was on the side of Jimmy Savile (a notorious pedophile). I don't like Nigel but that is just a mask.

@GergelyOrosz I'd like to see more reporting on the tiered access to information that is clearly getting rolled out; 'saving the children' is a famous trojan horse.
