A little bit of a silly post, maybe hyperbolic, but something has struck me today. I have had a latent fear of coding model access being revoked (exacerbated by the on again / off again fable access). I use these models for essentially all the work I do, monitoring training jobs, infra set up, research brainstorming, math, type setting, front end work, the list goes on. If my access were shut off for whatever reason (nationalization, safety concerns, perceived abuse) then I would find myself in a pretty difficult position with dramatically reduced productivity. The S2.1 launch today mostly alievated that. Yeah, our company has enough compute to run GLM 5.2 or Kimi K3 or something, but we couldn't do much large training if that were the case. But I have a little spark under my desk, so even if decode speeds are only at 50-70tps, that's still plenty fast for me to control my own coding destiny. Anyway, all that to say, I'm feeling grateful for the open community, nervous about the HF breach, and generally optimistic about the good outcomes.
1000% relate to this. I don鈥檛 even know the repercussions of productivity drop if these models disappear one day. Not even talking about the job, I think im addicted to being productive at this point. 馃槓
