Andrej Karpathy builds HackerTube from Hacker News video recommendations

Andrej Karpathy describes a roughly two-hour Claude Code build that turned Hacker News video recommendations into HackerTube. He says Claude filtered 43 million comments down to 6,454 videos; the site lists browsing filters, and Karpathy describes login-free recommendations and a data export for making other versions. He still created an API key, started a server and bought the domain.
