Nexus Mods Acquires SteamDB After Solo Development

SteamDB, the resource tracking Steam games and their data, has been acquired by the company that owns Nexus Mods. The site ran under solo development for 13 years before the sale. Reports note that the new owners have begun discussing monetization. They have promised to introduce no ads and no paywalls. Plans include smarter mod-update tracking through integration of SteamDB data with Nexus Mods services. This step is described as helping mod gamers access improved features. Coverage from Neowin and Tom's Hardware confirms the transaction and these stated intentions.
