@cobi_bean Running it on a dedicated local machine is one thing, but connecting desktop to a VPS instance remains such a pain in my experience that I gave up on Desktop altogether and just use the VPS via terminal

@imbabybrooklyn @NousResearch What’s the right way to update Hermes desktop on Mac? Clicking "Update Now" just closes the app without updating. I tried to force it and ended up breaking the installation.

@imbabybrooklyn @NousResearch Okay so running hermes desktop on the terminal worked and launched the app, whereas clicking Launch Hermes on the app after install window doesn’t.

@imbabybrooklyn @NousResearch I would like to install Hermes desktop without installing the Hermes agent on my main Mac. Currently I can’t get pass the Install Hermes button. I would just like to connect to an existing Hermes agent running on my other Mac. I can already do so with SSH and the web UI.
The Telegram-first → desktop control room jump is the part that clicks. I’ve been running a Telegram brief bot for my trading, scans setups, pings me before the open. Adding a desktop layer on top is exactly the next step I keep putting off. Crons + memory is where it stops being a chatbot.

@imbabybrooklyn @NousResearch Downloaded the dmg directly from the site, dragged to Applications, and ran the in-app installer. Hit 'Launch' and ran into this Uncaught Exception. Moved to mac recently so not sure if the error is on my side or the app itself.
