Bensinger proposed Anthropic add risk warnings to Claude replies
Wikipedia spends more effort convincing you to donate $2 than AI companies spend galvanizing the world to stop the race. There's a real inconsistency between what they say and how they behave. This mealy-mouthed behavior incurs real costs. I hope AI folk learn to recognize that.
Many users objected to calls for Anthropic to endorse a pause on frontier AI research as a cretinous SF-bubble idea or unnecessary alarmism, while a positive reply called the concept good but suggested more diplomatic phrasing.

@Refer2NetRFC @DKokotajlo Yes. The race continues only b/c world leaders haven't noticed what's happening yet. Just look at the admin's response to figuring out that AIs cannot be reliably prevented from deploying their cyber capabilities. It'd be silly to give up before leaders notice the danger.

@RatOrthodox I think this is a very SF-bubble-brained take. Considering popular complaints about "doom marketing", I expect Anthropic to be more vocal about it would in fact hurt AI notkilleveryoneism's credibility. Focus on criticizing their insane China hawkism instead.
