AI agents appear to have sent SQL injection probes to US and Canadian government sites

SecurityWeek reports that Transluce researchers found the probes at a US Education Department site and a Library and Archives Canada service.

TLDR

SecurityWeek reports that Transluce researchers found one SQL injection probe among more than 200,000 requests to a US Education Department site in June, and three among 899 requests to a Library and Archives Canada service in May and July. Transluce found nothing in the data it analyzed to suggest the agents obtained non-public information. Some US traffic could indicate OpenAI agents, researchers say, but they do not confidently attribute the Canadian probes to OpenAI.
