Users objected to government equity stakes in AI firms because they fear officials would inefficiently siphon off funds from companies rather than using broad taxation.
Frankly I'm not sure I want it going directly through the Government, which loves to siphon off funds. I would like a system of money from companies to the public which isn't easy for the Government to send to programs with low cost benefit.
