Using Claude Opus (4.8) for research brainstorming, but it keeps trying to convince me to give up on my ideas.

I have the experience to keep pushing back on sloppy reasoning, but it's scary to think how many young researchers will give up on great ideas.

@Majumdar_Ani Strange that I had the exact opposite impression when I was trying to asses GPT some time ago (I don't use LLMs anymore): whatever I made up as a test idea, it said it was brilliant 😂

@Majumdar_Ani It would be helpful if you could share the idea that Claude is suggesting you abandon. Without specifics, your very general statement is impossible to evaluate.
