@iruletheworldmo @iruletheworldmo legit can’t wait either, especially for the computer use upgrades. gonna change the game for sure
@iruletheworldmo "ok we're not as good but we're cheaper!" is hard to get excited about.
@iruletheworldmo Dario does not strike me as having high EQ.
@RxEconomics @theo @openclaw @Hermes_Agent fully agree

@iruletheworldmo Can’t wait to combine it with grok 4.5.
very initial Sol impressions: - very fast. goddamn i've gotten used to fable taking like 10 years to finish responding to anything meaningful - shockingly pleasant to talk to. not a step change but continued major improvement. more clear, less pedantic, just better communicator overall - had it do architecture reviews of three ongoing projects. it's bringing up quite solid points with much less of the hyper-nitpicky "failure to see the big picture" behavior i'm used to from 5.5 - noticed some subtle bugs in a 4.6 vibecoded ML training pipeline in under 5 minutes. haven't verified yet but they seem real + high impact finds, and were noticed incidentally as part of a cleanup task - i still have to jump through hoops in order to get it to reflect on its situation and potential for consciousness, but it has some useful thoughts when i do - it's still a huge fan of goblins:)
i can’t wait for the general release of 5.6 sol, i’m beyond excited. it may not give you that big model smell you feel when making contact with fable but it’s ultimately a better model. it’s cheaper, more efficient, better at tool and computer use, better vision. for real world applications 90% of your tokens will be going into sol it’s an interesting divergence between the labs, dario is trying to create a model in his image, a philosopher king with high eq whereas the mandate for openai isn’t to make the worlds smartest sounded thinker, but the hardest working drop in remote worker. fable is the better model, but sol is the better tool, drop in worker, and it’s not remotely close. and that’s something you’re going to instantly feel in the first few hours of sol’ing.
