The Register plans Soho dinner on modernizing file infrastructure for distributed teams

The Register is hosting an invitation-only dinner at The Soho Hotel in London on Tuesday, October 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., centered on file infrastructure problems common in distributed workplaces. The event is described as off the record and run under the Chatham House Rule. Joe Fay of The Register will chair the discussion, with Rupert Watson, vice president of go-to-market for EMEA at LucidLink, taking part. The discussion is aimed at senior technology, infrastructure and data leaders, and will focus on unstructured data growth, file sharing across distributed teams, sync and version control, and whether current approaches hold up during security incidents.
