X Replaces Revenue Sharing With Original Content Rewards
X ends revenue sharing and pays creators only for original personally created content.
X introduced the Original Content Rewards program to replace its revenue sharing model. Payments now go only to content reflecting a creator's own voice, expertise or unique perspective across posts, articles, videos or images. Revenue sharing ends with final payouts scheduled around September 11. Existing participants can apply for the new program. Platform users noted the prior system rewarded low-quality slop and gaming while the change may improve incentives for authentic work.
