TLDR

Neowin reports that System76 has banned AI-generated contributions across many COSMIC codebases, but exempted cosmic-flatpak. The updated pull-request checklist asks contributors to confirm their submissions contain no AI-generated code, comments or descriptions. System76 engineer Jeremy Soller said the review load had become too much for the team and many AI contributions were unplanned or showed little understanding of the software’s architecture.
