Apple opened its Siri AI Developer Preview to developers of any app on Nov. 3, 2026, with the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 betas. Developers can build integrations now, but the preview does not make those integrations available in App Store versions of their apps.
Using App Intents, developers can make an app’s content and actions available to Siri AI. Apple gives checking a delivery, booking a reservation and placing an order as examples of actions an app could offer. The app must expose its own actions; the preview does not give Siri automatic access to everything in it.
For more complicated requests, developers can create app skills that guide Siri through several actions. Apple’s documentation separately illustrates how Siri could find someone’s favorite sneakers in one app, identify their partner through Contacts and send the sneaker information using a specified messaging app. That is an example of a possible workflow, not an announcement that a particular third-party app offers it.
Apple says it has started rolling out expanded capabilities in its own apps, including Mail, Photos and Safari. For outside developers, to development-signed Xcode builds and versions shared with internal TestFlight testers. External TestFlight testers and people using App Store versions cannot use the preview features. Apple says the features will first ship to customers in a few months and that App Store submissions will open in the spring; it has not given an exact launch date.
