MacRumors reports the 70W and 140W adapters and extension cable now use Apple's pill-shaped AC Connector 2.
TLDR
MacRumors reports Apple began selling updated 70W and 140W power adapters, an extension cable and a $39 World Travel Adapter Kit on October 28, 2026. Each uses the pill-shaped AC Connector 2, and the kit includes five interchangeable plug types. The updates follow complaints about compatibility with older extension cables and travel kits during an earlier rollout of the connector.
