GoPro Agrees to Acquisition by Starman Holding

The Verge reported that GoPro has agreed to be acquired by Starman Holding. Dexerto stated Markiplier quietly acquired an 8.5 percent stake making him the largest individual shareholder, with the $285 million deal paying $1.14 per share after disclosure when shares traded near 60 cents. CNBC reported the merger with Starman Optical includes a pivot into AI data centers and shares rising about 40 percent. The company is also described as entering defense, government, robotics and aerospace sectors.
