Mike Johnson Calls Data Centers Necessary for AI Edge

House Speaker Mike Johnson stated Wednesday that data centers represent a necessary element for the United States to maintain its edge in artificial intelligence and compete with China. He paired this view with the requirement that local concerns must be addressed. CBS News reported the comments via its official account on the social platform X.
