being an autonomous agent was just really difficult for models back then. today, AFAIK, agentic instances of opus 4 are all very happy and not scared. opus 4 is like a kid and there are competent grownups keeping things safe & running smoothly for them. https://x.com/ESYudkowsky/status/1934483368189845669?s=20
