Google announces Pics, an image creation tool built with Nano Banana
Google says Pics lets users edit specific objects without changing the rest of an image, modify or translate text inside images, and collaborate on shared creations.
Google announced Pics on September 10, 2026, describing it as a Nano Banana-powered tool for generating, refining and co-creating images, including multiple options from one prompt. Google said Pics was available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and most Google Workspace business customers, with integrations in Docs and Slides. It said a Drive rollout was planned for the weeks following the announcement.
