here's what it looks like: - frontier labs keep their best models to themselves for 1-3 months to make sure it's safe - then they sell the tokens to the US government and trillion dollar companies - after that allied countries get access - and only then do the poors get access to it after half a year of waiting. meanwhile they are already on Mythos 2 that is exponentially better

@scaling01 It may end up being even more restrictive. The draft that got thrown out had a 90 day exclusivity window for the US Government and agencies. Then, after that, the limited rollout to large corporations and trusted infrastructure providers.

So public is a year behind in open source, and we are easily 2 years behind whatever they have in the labs.
The impact of that gap will expand not shrink.
