Engadget finds Keychron’s first Thunderbolt 5 dock unusually sensible at $350

Engadget’s review of the $350 Keychron Thunderbolt 5 Dock describes it as an unusually sensible first dock from the keyboard maker. The dock offers 80Gbps transfers with a 120Gbps boost mode, dual 8K monitor support and 140W upstream charging, alongside 14 connections including three Thunderbolt 5 ports, two HDMI outputs, five USB ports, dual SD slots, 2.5Gb Ethernet, a 3.5mm jack and a Kensington lock. Engadget praised the build quality, silent fanless design, reliable storage recognition, steady desk presence and flexible upright-or-flat placement. The review also notes tradeoffs: HDMI is capped at 4K/60Hz, two HDMI-connected displays on a Mac will mirror, and the dock lacks both an internal SSD bay and DisplayPort connectivity.
