RTX 5070 Ti Owners Are Pushing GDDR7 Memory From 28 Gbps to 39 Gbps, With Modest Real-World Gains

VideoCardz reports that some GeForce RTX 5070 Ti owners are pushing 28 Gbps GDDR7 memory as high as 39 Gbps by using mVolt+ Extreme to bypass the card’s usual memory offset limits. On a 256-bit bus, that would raise theoretical bandwidth from 896 GB/s to 1248 GB/s, or about 39% over stock. Reported results vary by card and memory modules, with examples around +4500 MHz, +5000 MHz, and +5500 MHz before artifacts or driver resets. But the extra bandwidth has translated into only small performance gains in the examples cited, including roughly 1 FPS per additional +1000 MHz in Cyberpunk 2077 path tracing and about 1.5% to 2% in 3DMark Speed Way.
