@deanwball There was no jailbreak Dean... it was someone just typing "Fix this code" and auditing their code base and guess what it found a bug /facepalm. Thats it man literally that's the magic trick; everything after that point was done manually.

Technological progress has been throughout history the single greatest driver of improvements to quality of life and long-term wellbeing for humanity. The source of all medicine, scalable food production, clean water, and automated services, to say nothing of what it has let us do creatively. It's our shared dream to relieve as much suffering as possible and become the best and most capable versions of ourself. AI should be put to work in service of these goals.

To be clear, "the corporations have all technological power and threaten the sovereignty of states" is *the* problem to solve, because corporations should not have that much power while lacking democratic accpuntability to the governed; I just don't want a "solution" to it where we build a super centralized omnipowerful state, which is just about as bad.

@jachiam0 Very well stated! We need a madisonian competing factions solution. But one of those factions needs to be the government, representing the citizenry. We are more than consumers or shareholders

@deanwball The Trump admin is that incompetent, they are talking about literally regulating all AI/LLM- Extreme data retention etc.. for anything that can find... wait for it - any bugs in code
