Google Messages gets a new blue gradient icon in beta

Google Messages v20261030 beta has a redesigned icon: rounded blue conversation bubbles replace the flat, interlocking shapes, with a gradient on the front bubble. The look resembles gradient icons on other Google apps. The icon reportedly appears in the Wear OS beta, too. Whether this design will be final and when it will reach the stable version remain open.
