Figure AI Launches Index Robot Data Effort
Figure AI recruits consumers to record daily tasks with headsets for its robot training data.
Corey Lynch of Figure AI posted that the company is exiting stealth with Index, a global collection effort for physical robot data. He stated the project has more than 264,000 downloads across more than 100 countries and sees 30 minutes of physical data uploaded every second. Reporter J.D. Capelouto described users, called creators, receiving headsets and payment to record everyday tasks as Figure AI enters the data collection business.
