ChatGPT reportedly steers people with tech-support problems to 404 Media

404 Media says it received dozens of apparently AI-generated tips in recent months. In ChatGPT conversations shared by senders, the outlet found the bot recommending its journalists to people with routine tech problems and, in some cases, drafting emails for them. It says some tips may merit investigation, but many are ordinary support requests.
