OpenAI rolls out ChatGPT Chrome tab control, enabling actions like form-filling and file downloads

ChatGPT says its Chrome upgrade lets Chat look across open tabs to gather information. In Work, it says ChatGPT can control tabs to send messages, fill out forms, download files and group tabs. One user sees taking action across tabs as a bigger shift than reading them and suggests the browser might become an interface for AI agents.
